Launch of our new website for Project Management Competence Development Solutions

Aikona are pleased to launch their new website today, aimed at helping our corporate clients understand how to bridge the competence gap.

The new website, at www.aikona.com, provides a step-by-step-guide to identifying, assessing and filling competence gaps in the project management community within small, medium and large organisations in any sector. It provides information on the tools and techniques we use at each stage in the simple 3-step process:

Step 1 is identifying what good looks like in the organisation

Step 2 is assessing the community against those standards

Step 3 is providing a range of innovative modular learning and development solutions

So if you are looking for a total competence development solution, or just help in specific areas then visit the website or give our sales consultants a call to discuss how we can help. Call us on 020 8722 8366

Project Management Learning and Development will never be the same!

It’s funny that in this modern world of blogs, podcasts, tweets, befriending on Facebook, and linking on LinkIn that the art of communication has changed into an almost anonymous practice.  Maybe that is not a bad thing, but communication is something that we all have to do, in whatever form, and I suppose the key then is to get good at it!

I am old school. That is, I do prefer a conversation with someone rather than texting or emailing, although I must admit I am slipping into the new world rather fast.  The biggest driver in my mind is that I can write blogs late at night, tweet while travelling, and generally communicate when I know that I cannot have that conversation with the recipient. Emailing gives you the audit trail you need sometimes (particularly documenting “informal” scope change) and blogs and tweets allow us to communicate with a much wider audience, for longer periods and in more detail.

So hail the new world and welcome to the Aikona blog, musings and information from the world of project management training and development, or in our space, competence development for project professionals – whether you are old school or new school – all are welcome!
